The activities of the department include the organization and holding of thematic exhibitions in the museum building and beyond it. According to the type of exhibitions, they are divided into 3: local exhibitions, joint exhibitions and international exhibitions. These exhibitions can be based on their orientation - mobile and stationary, permanent or periodic, consisting of the creative works of one person or samples of the art of a particular group, school, direction, period, country. Works for exhibition are selected by pre-appointed persons or members of the jury (depending on the genre, art form, theme, etc.). The Traveling Exhibitions Department performs tasks such as collecting art, displaying it, labeling and displaying it, organizing tours and lectures.
