According to paragraph 90 of Annex 3 of the Presidential Decree No. PF-16 dated January 30, 2025, “On the implementation of the Uzbekistan–2030 Strategy,” a key objective is to enhance the qualifications of directors and employees of state museums.

To implement this task, the Cultural Heritage Agency and the Fund for the Development of Culture and Art jointly organized a professional training course for museum staff in cooperation with ICCROM (International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property).

Within the framework of this program, the next phase of the course was held on November 5–6, 2025, at the State Museum of the History of Uzbekistan. During the sessions, participants from various museums across the country enhanced their practical knowledge and experience in the preservation, conservation, and inventory management of museum objects and collections.

Throughout the training, both international experts and local specialists paid special attention to issues related to museum collection care, conservation, and digitization. In addition, participants received detailed information on international standards and innovative approaches promoted by ICCROM.

This professional development initiative serves to strengthen the professional capacity of museum specialists in Uzbekistan, enhance their scientific and practical skills, and support the adoption of international best practices in the museum field.
