In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dated April 12, 2010, No. 68, Appendix 8, it has been established that the "Museum Week" will be held annually from September 2 to September 8 across the country. During this period, citizens of all age groups will have the opportunity to visit state museums across the Republic of Uzbekistan free of charge.
It is important to note that the primary goal of the "Museum Week" is to enhance the national identity, strengthen historical memory, and foster respect for our cultural and historical heritage, especially among the younger generation.
As per the above-mentioned resolution, the following opportunities are provided:
• Every Tuesday and Friday, children up to 18 years of age, along with their parents (or designated guardians), can visit museums included in the National Museum Fund free of charge;
• During the annual "Museum Week" held from September 2 to September 8, and on the first Sunday of each month during the "Open Doors Day," all citizens will have the right to visit state museums free of charge;
• Additionally, elderly citizens in need of care, disabled individuals, and their accompanying guardians, if they are included in the special register, will also be able to visit the museums free of charge.
Unfortunately, due to ongoing restoration and reconstruction work at the State Museum of the History of Uzbekistan, visits are temporarily suspended. However, considering the above information, we invite you to visit the branch of the State Museum of the History of Uzbekistan — Tashkent Museum, either alone or with your family and loved ones, during the "Museum Week" from September 2 to September 8. There, you can gain fascinating insights into the history of Tashkent.
We wish you and your family a pleasant cultural experience and enriching historical impressions during the "Museum Week."
