On September 10, 2025, the International Conference “Uzbek and German Museology: History, Practical Experience, Issues of Prospective Development” was held in Tashkent with the support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the initiative of the State Museum of Remembrance of Victims of Repression.

The conference was attended by Deputy Director of the State Museum of Technology and Labor “TECHNOSIUM” in Mannheim, Germany, Mr. J. Bortloff, as well as representatives of various ministries and agencies of Uzbekistan, higher educational institutions, and research organizations.

Within the framework of the event, the Director of the State Museum of History of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Historical Sciences Jannat Khamidovna Ismailova, also delivered a report. In her speech, she elaborated on the attention paid by the state to the field of museum studies, the reforms being implemented, and the future prospects of the sector. She also emphasized the importance of further improving the activities of national museums, introducing modern technologies, and expanding international cooperation.

The conference provided a platform for fruitful discussions on experience exchange, scientific cooperation, and the identification of promising areas of interaction between the museum institutions of Uzbekistan and Germany.
