Today, the State Museum of the History of Uzbekistan hosted the opening of an international training seminar organized within the framework of the “Central Asian and Caucasus Cultural Heritage Preservation Program (CTPAC)” implemented by the Institute for the Study of Ancient Cultures (ISAC) at the University of Chicago, with the support of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan.
This is the second module of the annual program designed for conservation specialists working in the field of cultural heritage preservation. The seminar will be held from October 6 to 17, 2025.

In his address, Ambassador Henick emphasized the importance of strengthening U.S.–Uzbekistan cooperation in the field of cultural heritage preservation and noted that such educational initiatives contribute significantly to enhancing the qualifications of specialists in this area.
During the seminar, participants will engage in both theoretical and practical sessions covering loan procedures, transportation, and conservation of museum exhibits, as well as restoration techniques for paper-based artifacts.
At the conclusion of the program, participants will be awarded certificates.
