In accordance with the Resolution No. 54 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 22, 2025, “On measures to prepare for and hold the ‘Week of the Elderly’ and the ‘Month of Tourism for the Elderly’ at a high level”, the country is holding the “Week of the Elderly” from October 2 to 8 under the motto “Respect for the Elderly – An Example for the Youth”, and the “Month of Tourism for the Elderly” from November 1 to 30.

According to paragraph 7 of the Resolution, cultural heritage sites and state museums are to announce discounts of up to 10 percent on entrance tickets during these events.

As part of this initiative, distinguished elderly guests visited the Tashkent Branch of the State Museum of History of Uzbekistan. During the visit, the guests became acquainted with the museum’s exhibits, which reflect the rich history and cultural heritage of our country.

Comfortable conditions were created for the visitors, friendly conversations were held, and their opinions and suggestions were listened to with great attention.

This event serves as a practical expression of the motto “Respect for the Elderly – An Example for the Youth”, emphasizing respect and care for the elderly while inspiring the younger generation to learn from their wisdom and experience.
