On October 21, 2025, the Tashkent Museum — a branch of the State Museum of History of Uzbekistan — hosted a cultural and educational event dedicated to the Day of the Uzbek Language, marking the adoption of Uzbek as the state language.

As part of the visit, students from the University of World Languages gained deeper insight into the historical development of the Uzbek language, its legal status as the state language, and its significant role in society. The main objective of the event was to enhance students’ understanding of the history and evolution of their mother tongue and to foster greater respect and appreciation for it.

During the visit, the students explored the museum’s exhibitions and learned about various stages of Uzbekistan’s history as well as the role of language in shaping national identity.

A roundtable discussion was also organized, focusing on the current stage of development of the Uzbek language, contemporary issues in linguistics, and possible ways to address them.

Throughout the discussion, students actively shared their opinions, asked questions, and expressed their views. Such meetings play an important role in strengthening young people’s respect for their native language and reinforcing national pride and cultural values.
