On December 5, 2025, an online scientific seminar dedicated to the role of modern information technologies in museum activities was held at the State Museum of the History of Uzbekistan. The event was organized in cooperation with the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The seminar featured a presentation by Otabek Aripdjanov, Senior Researcher of the department “History of Tashkent in Ancient and Medieval Times” and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Art Studies.

In his presentation, he discussed museum digitization processes, 3D visualization of exhibits, the introduction of virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) technologies, as well as the capabilities of museum information systems.

During the seminar, participants held discussions on experiences in this field, practical solutions, and future project prospects.

At the conclusion of the event, participants expressed views on further expanding the use of IT technologies in museum work and developing scientific and educational activities through digital platforms.
