On February 12, 2026, a spiritual and educational event dedicated to the 585th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker and poet Alisher Navoi, as well as to the birth of the prominent statesman, poet, and historian Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, was held at the Tashkent Museum. The event was organized at the initiative of the Chilonzor District Department of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment
The event aimed to strengthen young people’s respect for national literature and rich historical heritage, as well as to widely promote the invaluable scientific and creative legacy of our great ancestors.
The program was opened by the host, who warmly welcomed the guests and participants. The distinguished guests of the event were then introduced.
Among the honored guests were:
Zayniddin Nasriddinovich Mavlyanov, a descendant of Babur;
Zulfiya Mardanovna Mo‘minova, Honored Cultural Worker of Uzbekistan, recipient of the “Do‘stlik” and “Mehnat Shuhrati” orders, and member of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan;
Tohir Qodirovich Karimov, Chairman of the Chilonzor District branch of the “Nuroniy” Foundation

As part of the program, students of the “Barkamol Avlod” school performed a national dance. The dutar ensemble of female students from Secondary School No. 164 presented a musical performance, creating an uplifting atmosphere. Students of Secondary School No. 90 staged a theatrical performance dedicated to the life and works of Navoi and Babur

During the event, speakers emphasized the significant role of our great ancestors in the development of Uzbek statehood, literature, and spiritual life. They highlighted the humanistic, patriotic, and moral values embodied in their works.
The event contributed to strengthening young people’s sense of national identity, preserving historical memory, and fostering deep respect for the legacy of our outstanding scholars and thinkers.
