Today, a festive program dedicated to Navruz, the nationwide holiday, was held at the Tashkent Museum — a branch of the State Museum of History of Uzbekistan. The celebration brought a special atmosphere to the museum, reflecting the spirit of renewal, harmony, and the arrival of spring.
As part of the event, the opening ceremony of the exhibition “The Scent of Spring” by renowned artist Dilorom Mamedova, a recipient of the “Shuhrat” medal and the honorary title “People’s Diplomat,” took place. The artist’s works, rich in spring colors and national motifs, left a lasting impression on visitors.
The program also featured a праздничное поздравление (festive address) by Muattar Qobiljonovna Hamroyeva — a distinguished poet and holder of the “Mo‘tabar ayol” and “Ibratli oila” badges, as well as the “Do‘stlik” Order. Her heartfelt speech conveyed the essence of Navruz — kindness, unity, and compassion.
In addition, artistic and musical performances were presented by the “Gavhar” folklore ensemble, organized by the Chilonzor district Department for Family and Women’s Affairs and the “Oqila ayollar” movement. Musical pieces performed by students of the Yunus Rajabi Uzbek National Institute of Music Art further enriched the festive atmosphere.
This celebration once again demonstrated the important role of the museum not only in preserving historical heritage, but also in promoting national traditions and strengthening cultural unity in society.
Navruz is a symbol of renewal — and at the Tashkent Museum, it found its vivid expression through art, literature, and music.
